Register of Suspension

The PPDA Authority is empowered under Regulation 351 of the PPDA Regulations to suspend a provider from participating in public procurement or disposal proceedings.


The PPDA Board during its 80th meeting held on 12th October 2006 suspended the following provider;

 M/s African Central Auctioneers
of Plot 8 Burton Street, Mitchell Cotts Building P.O Box 28799  Kampala
has been suspended for a period of three (3) years with effect from 1st November 2006

The following persons who are Directors of M/s African Central Auctioneers Ltd. are also suspended for the same period of time.

   a. Mr. Paul Kalule Kalungi
   b. Mr. Fred Musisi kalule
 


According to the PPDA Board Guidelines on Suspension of Providers adopted by the Board at their 75th meeting held on Thursday 15th June 2006, it is stated that “Where a provider makes a first breach of the law that is deemed to be minor and there is no financial loss to the Government, the period of suspension will be one year.”

M/s Motorcentre East Africa Limited submitted an illegitimate and/or forged Manufacturer’s Authorisation which amounted to a breach of the Code of Ethical conduct for bidders and Providers and is therefore accordingly suspended for one(1) year effective 22nd April 2010.

During the suspension period, M/s Motorcentre East Africa Limited and its Directors,

      a.  Mr Joseph Robins Ssemuwemba
      b.  Ms Annet Ssemuwemba

are excluded from participating in any public procurement or disposal proceedings for the period of suspension
