Act 2 Local Governments (Amendment) Act 2006 THE LOCAL GOVERNMENTS (AMENDMENT: ACT, 2006. An Act to amend the Local Governments Act to provide for 1 replacement of Tender Boards of local governments with contract committees; to regulate the procurement procedures of 10 governments; to ensure accountability in the local governmentsprocurement system and to provide for other related matters. DATE OF ASSENT: 27th December, 2005. Date of commencement:(See section 2) BE IT ENACTED by Parliament as follows: 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Local Governments (Amendment: 2006. 2. Commencement
This Act shall come into force on a date appointed by the Ministry statutory instrument. 3. Replacement of sections 91 to 94 of Cap. 243
